![]() ![]() People will often say that the best crop in the game is Loose Silage sold to the Biogas Plant, but that isn't always the case, the only time that is true is when the price of Loose Silage is higher than the price of Silage Bales. Since the bale price is fixed you can figure out the bale price of each at 1000L and then look at the Price Chart and determine whether it is better to sell Loose or in Bales. Most times the price will be fairly close, but there are times were the loose price will be significantly lower or higher than the bale price. So loose straw/hay/grass/silage the price will change depending on time and how often you sell (every interruption in unloading the crop (each bucket full or trailer full) will drop the price not counting Great Demands), bale price will never change. I bet even in real life, bales would be worth more than loose just because silage bales are more convenient for feeding ya know. If you don't use conveyor belts I would suggest doing silage bales cause using a front loader would take a long time with 1,000,000 L's of silage. I would say the loose silage is a little less work besides worrying about dumping the grass evenly so you don't get stuck while compacting. then I grab the biggest bale stacker which is 8 for round bales and I make trips to the barn. then after I'm done I have around 14-17 groups of 8 of bales. then wrap bales in the field and put 8 bales in a straight line group. I'm pretty sure you would get more money for a silage bale at the barn than at the biogas plant just because the biogas plant sees your silage bale as silage and adds to your digestive tank for fertilizer.įor making silage grass bales I usually get between 120-150 bales on 1 small field mowing 3 or 4 times and fertilizing each time after mowing. Playing on 5x doesn't help with making money ether. Little too easy but money still kinda takes a while depending on what you spend it on. I made a mistake of playing on easy and now I wish I would have went to hard. I usually use conveyor belts at the biogas plant. Although when I mow grass I let it stack up and mow the field 3 or 4 times before I windrow and ether bale it or use the forage harvester trailer. I think both methods of doing silage bales or doing loose have their ups and downs. Usually loose silage is about 835$ per L. Playing on easy I get 5,880$ per silage bale. Silage bales i think are more money but I'm not sure since I've been playing on easy. ![]() Not sure on square/round bales for prices but obviously square and round bales are all 4,000L's so they will have the same set prices. I think selling loose straw or grass is okay if you just started a new game but doing bales are alot better as far as money. anything loose like grass, straw, silage/corn chaff the prices.
